We should be more like Christ in this way of love. We are to obey Gods commands, so why do we not always show love? Why are we selfish in the way of love? Well we are not perfect, we aren’t always going to do the right thing. So John points out that Jesus lived this command. So we should be the light as Jesus was. Spread love and do right by the relationships you have. We were called since the beginning of time to love others.
