Things of the world have purpose of course, but we do not need them. That’s the difference. They are simply tools and should be used to bring together the body of Christ. But when we treat them as if we need them, they take God’s rightful place. You never needed any THING to glorify God. You needed to lose your own life. That’s it. Now everything about it should glorify Him, not yourself. It adds to denial of God when you recognize His rightfully deserved spot of worship in your heart and replace it with a man made item. Do not pull an Exodus 32 and worship a golden cow after Christ already shown shown Himself to you and fulfilled His promise.
