Satan is “the deceiver of the world” he wants us to be deceived and listen to those who lie. John wants us to be vigilant towards those who spread lies about The father and the son. As he said “those who want to lead you astray” those are false teachers or antichrists who don’t believe in the trinity and will say that Christ did not appear in the flesh. So believers be vigilant, seek the truth and don’t be lead astray.
