It goes right back to the concept of being tricked and deceived by the devil’s traps. As followers of Christ we are His sheep and He is our Good Shepherd. But of course as humans made in the image of God we are called toward something more powerful to us, naturally. So the devil will take advantage of this by tempting us or swaying us toward any other direction that opposes the way of Christ. We need to make sure we are being discerned in our walk with Christ and keep Him close. Recognize there is wolves among us who work to take us away from the flock. We must be aware.
