“But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.”

Again we see John speaking about anointing, which is a reference to the Holy Spirit. This anointing “abides in you”, the spirit helps all believers understand the truth, gives us direction in our lives when we allow it to. So believers should abide in the Lord so we can grow in the spirit and we should remain in Christ. Now I encourage everyone to find fellowship for you will find confidence in your salvation and relationship with God. We believers shall not be ashamed either about our faith, the world is our enemy and they want us to feel down. Now fight back, show them who Christ is. Look forward to Christ’s return. So again fellow believers stand in truth, be faithful and stay vigilant.
