“Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.”
1 John 3:4-6 NLT
John labels the practice of sinning lawlessness. We see people who don’t know Christ being called workers of lawlessness. However Christ sacrifice redeemed us, Christ was a sin less perfect man that gave his life for us. Our sins were removed and cleansed through him. Now We’re still all sinners, but a person who has a relationship with Christ will increasingly grow sin less. Now this process of growth for a believer is called sanctification. A believer should stand out from the non believers, for we are on two separate walks. A believer has a relationship with Christ and a non believer doesn’t. Now a believers life should noticeably be increasingly more like Christ’s. So if a persons life looks like a non believers then there’s no reason to be confident that there a true believer. So pray for discernment, build your relationship with Christ and seek the sins in your life’s and see what you can improve.
