God is not a vending machine that we can just get things from. If we pray we shouldn’t expect God to give it to us. It’s the other way around, we need to give to him. He gives according to his will, if it wasn’t like that we would all fall and die. We are selfish beings, we’re prideful and want what we want and what makes us feel good. But God wants what’s best for us, he knows us better than we know ourselves. So meditate on prayer, analyze what you are praying for and what you are asking.
