Psalms 16:4 “Troubles multiply for those who chase after other gods. I will not take in their sacrifices of blood or even speak the names of their gods.” We are to not worship other gods. This could literally be meaning other Gods, but also just as simple as sports or exercising. So fellow believers look into your lives and see what you haven’t given to God. Ask yourself are you fully devoted to him? Or is there something you’re still holding on to? We should remove these idols from our lives, we should run away from these idols. For if you don’t it will destroy you and not be fruitful. For many this is a long process and a hard one. But it’s a worthwhile process that will strengthen you and possibly humble you. But most of all your faith and relationship with God will grow. So don’t shy away from turning away from your idols.
