“But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love. And you must show mercy to those whose faith is wavering. Rescue others by snatching them from the flames of judgment. Show mercy to still others, but do so with great caution, hating the sins that contaminate their lives.”
Jude 1:20-23 NLT
We should constantly be in relationship with God. This includes prayer, it’s a tool that a lot of people don’t use. But it’s the greatest we have, prayer helps us connect with God, communicate to him and helps build our relationship with him. We should be praying constantly, so we can become more effective at it and so we can build our relationship with God. Relationship isn’t easy so being consistent in prayer or consistent in daily reading won’t always be easy. But we didn’t become disciplines of Christ because it was easy. We’re to do right by the Lord and the others around us. We’re to love them. So allow the spirit to work within you and pray that the Lord can fill you with the spirit and give you his wisdom. Meditate on what Jude is saying here and meditate in Gods word.
