God has the authority, people will try to take that authority and try to become God, but simply that is wrong. We’re not God and never will be, we were not made to operate like that and our minds are too finite. If we were in control it would be chaos, God and Christ ultimately make things full of life and produce fruit. All humans would do would produce sour fruit. God has ultimate authority and power over all not just this world, but the world to come as Paul says.
