In the earlier messages Peter was telling us we have quality’s and if we don’t use them then we aren’t being productive and wasting away a gift were given. Peter now urges us to act or demonstrate the reality of their calling and election. Peter is speaking to those who don’t act committed to Christ like living, but still claiming their place in the kingdom of God. This is unproductive at best and dangerous at worst. We’re to be diligent to demonstrate spiritually mature quality’s, as confidence boosters and evidence in our security in Christ.
