2 PETER 1:16-18 / BLOG

“For we were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We saw his majestic splendor with our own eyes when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice from the majestic glory of God said to him, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” We ourselves heard that voice from heaven when we were with him on the holy mountain.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:16-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

People believe or some people believe that the claims of Christianity are just tales, legends or fables, but there not. There very much real. In the times of Peters arguments of the reliability of the message had already begun. People had begun to doubt and try to take advantage of the situation by making up there own stories. Peter was an eyewitness to Jesus’s miracles and his true mite. Now we move on to how Peter, James and John saw Jesus’s “transfiguration” from His appearance as a normal man into His true and eternal appearance as the Son of God. This is shown in Matthew, Luke and mark. Now the question arises about why were they allowed to see this? It’s because Jesus wanted them to tell what they saw after his resurrection. We can clearly see that this plan worked as we’re talking about to this day.
