Discernment is a skill that we all need more of, we need to develop it and we’ll always be learning. We all know basic truth but sometimes in our heads we get truth and lies twisted from worldviews and biblical views clashing. But only one will come out consistent and true, which is God. John wants us to discern these things, he doesn’t want us to lead astray on some wobbly path. But through the Holy Spirit it will guide us down the righteous path. The father lives in us and give us the strength to power through our thought processes and tribulations in life. So always go back to Gods word, meditate in his word. Have it in your hearts and minds for it is the truth.
