“Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people.”
Jude 1:3 NLT
The spirit was working in Jude here. Jude wanted to talk about salvation, but found divine inspiration. He was guided by the spirit because God wanted him to write about the faith. Jude wants us to defend our faith. Which is so true especially in this day in age when our culture completely rejects the trinity and hides away from the name of Jesus. Now we must not cower away from speaking out about our faith and our salvation. How God has changed our lives, how he has saved us. This is a struggle for many, but it shouldn’t. It should be a daily thing we do, we should share our salvation to everyone. Did Jesus cower away? No he was bold, he talked with many about faith and the truth. So believers meditate on what Jude is saying here. Stand firm in the faith, and stay vigilant.
